Folk Art for Winter & Holidays I love Christmas, so I leave my Christmas pages running all year long. You can have your pick of the lot any month of the year, then just pack it away until December and rest assured that it won't get sold before you get it at Christmas time! Each hand-painted item is a signed and dated, one-of-a-kind treasure (except for the hand-painted soaps) . . . I will not duplicate it. There is only ONE of each of these pieces - please do not order more than one! When you buy one, you've got the first and only one! Hand painted bowl heralds the arrival of snow: "Announced by all - The trumpets of the sky - Arrives the snow." The last of the crap apples cling to their branches as the blackbirds trumpet in the first snowfall. Acrylic on a faux wooden (resin) bowl. Signed and dated. Measures 8½ inches.	Sliding lid candle box with two fat cats and a feather tree. Black with white "snow" spattering. Signed and dated.	Hand-painted vintage sifter resembles redware and holds a little tree all decorated with my hand-painted wooden redware plates, each different.

These hand painted soaps will give your bathroom and kitchen a very special country touch. I start with name-brand soaps (all soaps are now painted on rectangular bars - ovals are no longer available). I paint the design on one side. These soaps actually hold up very well when used from the bottom side - but most customers tell me they will never use them, just want them for decorative purposes. They are painted with non-toxic acrylic paint, and sealed with a non-toxic fixative spray to help hold the design on the soap. Each bar comes in its own cellophane package! A fun and thoughtful gift item, too! Fabulous stocking stuffers!
A very cool old skillet got a new life when I painted this pair of snow pilgrims in it. The verse says, "Give Thanks for new friends - punkin' pie and prayer." These old pelt boards are wonderfully transformed into Santas. He measures 15 inches and comes ready to hang. Just look at that face! He's ready to help you make your Christmas merry and bright!	What a great snowman! Here he is complete with pine branches as arms and hair! The snow is stuck in his boughs and he is happy as can be. He is painted on a maple Shaker box with finger laps and brass tacks - nicely constructed. A great little treasure box to fill with holiday goodies, or to hold a gift - and as part of the gift itself! Signed, dated, and varnished for protection and durability. Measures 5 inches across and 2 inches high.	A painted sap bucket (vintage ca. 1940s) --has the original hole used to hang it on the tree to catch the sap! Mustard background and edging border go all the way around, so after Christmas, turn Santa to the wall and use it all year long. Hand-painted, signed & dated.
